To be considered for this scholarship, you must: 

• have met the requirements or applied for a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne, Australia or
• currently have been enrolled in a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne.

Selection criteria

The two scholarships by the University of Melbourne will be awarded for domestic and international students. First, all domestic students who have been offered admission to a Masters by Research or doctoral degree (PhD) at the University of Melbourne will receive a Research Training Program Scholarship.

However, the University of Melbourne Graduate Research Scholarships will provide a stipend as well as fee offset for both domestic and international students based on academic merit. The academic achievements of students from their last completed programs will count toward their eligibility for selection and also their research potential in their respective field of study. Relevant professional experience, refereed publications or those who compose original music may be taken into consideration in the selection. 

The University of Melbourne Graduate Research Scholarships Requirements:

As an international candidate, you should have some of these requirements handy before applying to academic position at the University of Melbourne, Australia:

• Some graduate schools (not all) require a research proposal. You can do further research on how to write a good research proposal. Review the program website you are applying to and ensure you follow the requirements.
